About Us

We Are Not the Government. We Are Teachers Who Got Frustrated.

Let’s be upfront about something most websites hide in the footer: eshikshakosh.co is not affiliated with the Bihar government, Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC), or any official department. We are an independent information website. The official government portal is eshikshakosh.bihar.gov.in — and that is exactly the portal we write about, explain, and help you use.

We say this first because you deserve to know where you are.

Why This Site Exists

It started with a simple, maddening problem.

When Bihar’s e-Shikshakosh portal rolled out, thousands of government school teachers across the state were suddenly expected to mark attendance digitally, upload documents, manage leave online, and sync salary records — all through a platform that had no plain-language guide anywhere.

The official portal had login buttons but no explanation of which login to use. The app had an “Out of Range” GPS error with no fix. New BPSC recruits were waiting weeks for their 12-digit Teacher ID with no idea that the application had been silently “Returned with Query” by the DEO office. Teachers in low-network areas didn’t know the offline attendance sync existed.

We watched this happen. We asked around in teacher groups, forums, and WhatsApp communities. Everyone was confused. The information existed — scattered across circulars, YouTube videos, and half-answered forum posts — but nobody had pulled it together in one honest, searchable place.

So we built one.

What We Actually Do Here

We research, test, and write guides about the e-Shikshakosh ecosystem — the portal, the app, the connected modules, and the real-world problems Bihar’s teachers face using them.

Every article on this site goes through a process: we look at what teachers are actually asking in forums and helpdesk tickets, we look at the official BEPC documentation, we test the app steps ourselves where possible, and we write the answer in plain language — the kind a colleague would explain to you over chai, not the kind a government circular writes.

Our coverage includes the main e-Shikshakosh portal login process across all user types — Teacher, Headmaster, Niyojit, and Officer. We cover the Android app (version tracking, permissions, the offline sync feature most teachers don’t know exists). We write about the 12-digit Teacher ID registration workflow, including the parts that go wrong — like the “Returned with Query” status that nobody told you to look for. We explain Leave Management 2.0, the SHAKTI grievance module, e-PMS for salary tracking, and e-LOTS for digital textbooks.

We also write in both Hindi and English, because a lot of the teachers this portal serves are more comfortable reading a technical explanation in Hindi than in English — and that matters to us.

Who Writes Here

We are not a faceless content farm. We are a small team — a handful of people who care about education in Bihar and have spent enough time inside teacher communities, education news cycles, and the e-Shikshakosh portal itself to write about it with real accuracy.

We do not have government credentials. We do not have inside access to BEPC. What we have is genuine attention to what teachers need, a habit of verifying steps before publishing them, and a commitment to updating our content when the portal changes — because it does change, sometimes without announcement.

When something on this site is wrong, we want to know. We fix it.

What We Are Not

We want to be completely clear on this, for your safety and ours:

We cannot process your Teacher ID application. We cannot fix your salary discrepancy. We cannot intervene in your transfer posting. We are not a helpdesk for the Bihar Education Department.

If you need official help, the correct channels are: the BEPC technical helpdesk at 0612-2215181, your Block Education Officer (BEO), your District MIS Coordinator, or the official SHAKTI grievance portal inside your e-Shikshakosh dashboard. We will always point you toward those when a problem goes beyond what a guide can solve.

We also never ask for your Teacher ID, Aadhaar number, password, or any personal credentials. If anyone claiming to be from this site ever asks you for those things, that is not us.

Our Standard for Publishing

Before anything goes live on eshikshakosh.co, we ask: is this accurate? Is it useful? Does it reflect how the portal actually works right now, not six months ago?

We track app version updates. We watch for BEPC circulars. We read teacher feedback in community groups to understand where the real pain points are. We do not publish “coming soon” placeholders or thin summaries to fill page counts. If we write about a process, we write the full process — including what happens when it breaks, and how to fix it.

A Note to Google and AdSense Reviewers

This website is an independent editorial resource. Every page is original, researched content produced specifically for this site. We cover one well-defined topic — the e-Shikshakosh Bihar portal and its related services — with depth, accuracy, and genuine usefulness for a real audience of Bihar’s government school teachers.

We are transparent about our non-affiliation with any government body. We do not replicate official government content; we explain and supplement it. Our audience is real, our content is original, and our purpose is clear: to make a genuinely difficult government platform easier for teachers to navigate.
